Make a Fun Festive Front Porch

Grinch Christmas decorations - what fun for your front porch! Donna at Party Wishes generously shows us how to make a fun festive Grinch decorated porch!

Decorating for Christmas doesn't mean you have to use traditional holiday decorations.

It is the perfect time to add festive decorations and creating a theme is a great way to go.

Bright Red and Grinch Green

Just about everybody knows the story about the Grinch That Stole Christmas. That's Donna's theme for her outdoor Christmas decorations.

Donna writes: "I just love the bright red and Grinch green on my porch. The feather wreaths remind me of Grinch fur and I have a Grinch and Max doll sitting on my porch ready to greet guests."

High above her alcove, Donna hung over-sized ornaments in Grinch colors.

Look at the fun bench on Donna's porch. She wrapped polka dot fabric around the cushion and made a cover for the pillow. She draped the back with a green blanket. Also notice the JOY pillow that she found at Target. Cute!

The bolster pillow is another no-sew project - she just wrapped a yard of pretty fabric around some bunched-up fabric to make the "pillow". Then she tied the ends with bright red ribbons.

She put sparkly picks in her flowers in an pot by the front door. Donna suggests that white or pink poinsettias would work really well also.

Donna loves the look and smell of the fresh cedar. She draped it around her front door and banisters.

Donna tucked tree trimmings in some hanging glass sconces and adorned them with colorful ribbons. She created a Grinch Christmas on her front porch and we like it.
