Any idea as to the name of the type of house shown at right? (Answer below) We'll show you how we decorated our porch for summer, along with some ideas for decorating for the 4th of July - which will be here in no time. We'll also share some porch pictures from our porch trip to the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Classic wrap-around front porch - Fredericksburg TX Time To *BEE* on Your Porch Mary and I wanted to create a fun and "summer" theme porch this year that we could enjoy throughout the summer months; we even had our grandchildren help. We show you how to make these creative bumble bees to use in your yard, potted plants, and front porch. They area easy to make and your kids or grand kids will have fun helping. We love the 4th of July and so do porches! We don't know for sure but it probably ranks even or just below decorating your porch for Christmas. Hill Country Porches Mary and I got to visit the hill country of Texas and had a marvelous time finding wonderful front porches. We also learned about Sunday Houses like the one at the top of the page. German immigrants had farms outside of the community and on Saturdays they would travel to towns for goods and to attend church on Sunday. They built and stayed in small "Sunday Houses" which many have now been remodeled or converted into family residences.
